{"id":4336,"date":"2016-01-25T13:55:43","date_gmt":"2016-01-25T12:55:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nl.ijs.si\/janes\/?page_id=4336"},"modified":"2026-04-10T01:21:52","modified_gmt":"2026-04-09T23:21:52","slug":"cfp","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/nl.ijs.si\/janes\/cmc-corpora2016\/cfp\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for papers"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"center\"><strong>Call for papers<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>The <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/nl.ijs.si\/janes\/dogodki\/cmc-corpora2016\/\">4th conference CMC and Social Media Corpora for the Humanities<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0will be held in <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ljubljana.si\/en\/\">Ljubljana, Slovenia<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0on <strong>27 and 28th September 2016<\/strong> and will focus on the collection, analysis and processing of computer-mediated\u00a0communication, such as exchanges on social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), forum posts, news comments, wiki discussions and blog entries as well as e-mail, SMS,\u00a0WhatsApp, YouTube and\u00a0discussions in multimodal environments.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the conference\u00a0is to bring together researchers who are interested in the collection, organization, processing, analysis and sharing of CMC data\u00a0for research purposes. We invite submissions\u00a0on corpus\u00a0analysis of various types of CMC data for linguistic or\u00a0applied linguistic purposes and\u00a0NLP.<\/p>\n<p>The conference is co-located with\u00a0the regional\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sdjt.si\/wp\/dogodki\/konference\/jdth-2016-english\/.\">10th conference on Language Technologies<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(this year extended with the topic of <strong>Digital Humanities<\/strong>), which will be held at the same venue from 29 September\u00a0to 1\u00a0October. Please submit your paper via the\u00a0<strong>on-line conference system<\/strong>. The submitted papers will be reviewed by the <strong><a href=\"#sc\">Scientific Committee<\/a><\/strong>. \u00a0The accepted papers will be published in on-line proceedings before the\u00a0conference.
