These specifications for Slovene are based on (and are almost an identical copy) of the morphosyntactic specifications for Slovene that were developed in the scope of the JOS project. The JOS specifications were themselves based on the MULTEXT-East specifications for Slovene, Version 3, but introduced a number of changes, e.g. certain attributes or their values, allowed combinations of attribute-values, as well as the lexical assignment of MSD to particular words or word groups. Furthermore, they re-ordered some attributes to allow for more compact encoding on MSDs.
